J-1 Internship Program Requirements

Our J-1 Intern Program is open to students studying on hospitality, tourism, or culinary courses or recent graduates from one of these courses who have an active interest in supplementing their education and developing their skills through on-the-job training.

International Adventures' Internship Program lasts up to a maximum of 12 months. Most employers will require a full 12 month commitment, some employers have opportunities for 4 or 6 month programs. At the end of the Intern Program participants are able to travel for up to 30 days before departing the USA.

Program start dates

International Adventures has exciting internship placements available all across the United States in some of the most prominent vacation resorts and convention destinations. We have placed Interns with leading hotel companies including Omni, Marriott, Wyndham, Westin, Hyatt, St. Regis, Renaissance and many more. Internship opportunities primarily exist in the following divisions: Front Office; Rooms Division; Recreation; Food and Beverage and Culinary.

Positions Available

Participants can take part in an Internship program during the course of their studies or start a program within 12 months of graduating. DHI has Intern Programs commencing throughout the year. The Intern Program can last up to a maximum of 12 months and most employers require a full 12 month commitment.
